In the summer of 2023, Tamara sailed from the French Britanny to Disko Bay, heading to the fjord where she would later spend the winter. She navigated among northern fulmars, huge icebergs, thick fog, and humpback whales.
In 25 days of navigation, she covered about 2500 nautical miles.
This happened to be the first female and youngest Brazilian crossing of the Arctic Polar Circle singlehanded.
200K people followed the real-time tracking of Sardinha-2 and read the journals posted on social media.
